Zainul Abdin Farroque, an adviser to the BNP chairperson, has said that it is the demand of the people that the Awami League be banned.
A recent conversation surrounding Sheikh Hasina has surfaced on social media, from which it is evident that she is making efforts to grab power once again, Farroque said at a discussion on Monday at the National Press Club.
The BNP leader said: "Sheikh Hasina destroyed all constitutional and legitimate institutions in the country. She stole the wealth of the people and laundered it abroad. The ghosts of that Awami League are now working to destabilize the current government."
He added that to keep the Awami League in power, Sheikh Hasina had adopted programs up until 2041.
