Earlier, at 2:30pm, a delegation from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) also held talks with the chief adviser.

The BNP delegation was led by the party's Secretary General, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. Other members included BNP Standing Committee members Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Mirza Abbas, Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan, and Salahuddin Ahmed.

Following the student and public uprising on August 5, which led to the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government, Professor Muhammad Yunus assumed the role of chief adviser on August 8.

This is the third round of dialogues with political parties after two earlier rounds of talks.

According to the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing, the Ganatantra Mancha will join the dialogue at 3:30 pm, followed by the Left Democratic Alliance at 4pm, Hefazat-e-Islam at 4:30pm, Islami Andolan Bangladesh at 5pm, and the AB (Amar Bangladesh) Party at 5:30pm.

During a press briefing at the Foreign Service Academy on October 2, the Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary, Shafiqul Alam, said that the interim government would resume discussions with political parties starting Saturday, focusing on the activities of six commissions formed to reform state machinery and the country's law and order situation.

He said: “The interim government will update political parties on the progress of the commissions' work. The advisers will also consult with political leaders regarding the law and order situation and seek their advice.”

The dialogue will continue, with all major political parties expected to participate in the discussions, he confirmed.
