British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cooke on Monday held a meeting with BNP leaders in Dhaka.
The meeting started at BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's office in Gulshan at 4pm on Monday.
After the meeting, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, a member of the BNP's standing committee, said: “We discussed various issues with the UK, including how soon we are going to hold the elections, business and trade, bringing back the smuggled money.”
In addition to the ongoing political situation of the country, various issues related to the interests of both the countries were discussed in the meeting.
In the meeting led by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, other BNP leaders including, Abdul Moyeen Khan, Tabith Awal, and Shama Obaid were present as well, BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed.
The political councilor of British High Commission was also present in the meeting.
