Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged the people of the country to cast their vote for ruling Awami League in the next general election in order to continue the pace of development by spurning the "false propaganda" and allegation spread by the main opposition BNP.
She said: “People should cast their vote for the ruling party again as only Awami League can ensure development of the country.”
The Premier came up with the call while addressing her party’s maiden election campaign in Narayanganj.
Highlighting her government’s landslide achievement in the development sector of the country, she said: “Opposition BNP will halt all the development progresses if it comes to the power again.”
She also claimed that if BNP assumes power, it will set up another “Hawa Bhaban” and revive "corruption, militancy and terrorism" in the country again.
She inaugurated the 412MW power plant in Haripur earlier in the day.
