Ruling Awami League President Sheikh Hasina Wednesday asked the ministers and lawmakers to attend the party’s central office at Bangabandhu Avenue regularly until the next parliamentary polls.
She also asked the MPs to maintain strong relationship with the party activists in their respective constituencies.
The AL chief also asked the city unit leaders to take all out preparation to make the party’s August 30 public rally at Suhrawardy Udyan successful.
Also the prime minister, Hasina gave the directives at a meeting at her official residence Ganabhaban with the leaders and MPs of Dhaka city.
“I several times asked the ministers and MPs to join the party office regularly. But they did not do it. Now they have to do so regularly,” she said after an MP alleged that ministers and lawmakers hardly visit party office while the party supporters did not have access to the minister’s apartments.
