Awami League Presidium Member Jahangir Kabir Nanak, also the Awami League candidate of Dhaka-13 constituency, said that the conspiracy of BNP-Jamaat will be foiled by the wave of people at the polling stations on Sunday.
The next election cannot be obstructed, said Nanak.
BNP-Jamaat has been trying to overthrow the government for the last 15 years. However, they have repeatedly failed because the people of the country are not with them, said the Awami League leader to journalists before starting a view-exchange meeting on Friday.
He exchanged views with the leaders of all NGOs, clubs, and social organizations of Dhaka's 13 constituencies.
“They (BNP-Jamaat) are plotting ahead of the January 7 elections. However, the conspiracy of the BNP to resist the election will also fail. Their conspiracy will be foiled by the wave of people at the polling stations,” said Nanak.
He said that the violence that is happening before the election is very trivial. But no violence of any kind is desirable.
Nanak urged the party leaders and activists to be careful.
A private organization “Swapnachari Kalyan Sangstha” organized the event at Mohammadpur Suchona Community centre.
