Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has reached Kotalipara upazila in Gopalganj to address a grand rally as part of her campaign for the upcoming national election.
She reached Sheikh Luthfur Rahman Adarsha Govt College ground around 2pm.
Her younger sister Sheikh Rehana came with her.
When Sheikh Hasina, the current MP from the Gopalganj-3 constituency, reached the rally ground in Kotalipara with her sister, thousands of people welcomed them with slogans.
Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana responded to the crowd by waving back their hands.
Gopalganj’s Kotalipara has become vibrant with the presence of thousands of people centring PM’s visit.
Leaders and activists from various unions of Kotalipara upazila gathered at the rally ground from the morning.
Earlier in the morning, the prime minister attended a rally in Tungipara.
After the day's events, the prime minister is scheduled to visit to Kalkini in Madaripur.
She Hasina arrived in Tungipara on Friday after a campaign event in Barisal and spent the night at her residence.
