Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has reached the stage of the election public meeting at the Sylhet Govt Alia Madrasa ground in Sylhet.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her sister Sheikh Rehana reached the stage at around 3:10pm on Wednesday.
Huge number of people gathered around Sylhet Govt Alia Madrasa ground from different districts of Sylhet division from Wednesday morning to see Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The leaders and activists were seen waiting for the prime minister's speech, starting from the road and sitting on the roofs of the houses after not getting a place in the field.
After the arrival of the prime minister, a group of local singers performed Shah Abdul Karim's song.
Meanwhile, she landed at Sylhet Osmani International Airport at 11:40am on Wednesday to attend the public meeting of Awami League ahead of the 12th national parliamentary election.
After reaching Sylhet, the prime minister visited the Hazrat Shah Jalal (R) and Hazrat Shah Paran (R), and took a rest at Sylhet Circuit House.
After lunch there, the prime minister went to address the election rally at the historical Sylhet Govt Alia Madrasa ground at 3pm.
