The Awami League will bring out a victory procession in the capital on December 18 next, marking the Great Victory Day.
On that day, the victory procession will be brought out from the premises of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) and it will end at Dhanmondi-32.
Party's General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader revealed the program at a joint meeting at the party's Bangabandhu Avenue central office in the capital on Monday.
The joint meeting was held with the central Awami League leaders and the presidents and general secretaries of Dhaka North and South units of Awami League and its affiliated bodies.
Quader said the Martyred Intellectuals Day will be observed on December 14 next and the party will hold a meeting on that day.
Awami League President Sheikh Hasina will preside over the meeting, he said.
The Awami League general secretary said the Victory Day will be celebrated on December 16 and on that day the party will pay tributes at National Martyrs' Memorial in Savar.
On the occasion, a discussion will be held on December 17 next, while Awami League President Sheikh Hasina will chair the meeting.
