Some 733 people on Monday collected nomination forms of the Awami League on the third day to contest the 12th national elections slated for January 7.
Among them, 24 aspirants collected forms online while others collected the forms from the Awami League's central office at Bangabandhu Avenue here, AL office sources said.
The party sold forms of Tk3,66,50,000 as each nomination form's price is Tk50,000.
A total of 3,019 forms were sold in the three days as earning is Tk15,09,50,000.
On the third day, 166 aspirants from Dhaka division collected forms, 165 from Chittagong division, 33 from Sylhet division, 58 Mymensingh division, 76 from Barisal division, 90 from Khulna division, 62 from Rangpur division and 59 from Rajshahi division.
Awami League Office Secretary Barrister Biplab Barua disclosed the information after the end of the selling of nomination forms on the third day.
Awami League President Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the sale of nomination papers on Saturday.
Later, Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed, a member of the Awami League advisory council, first collected the party nomination form on behalf of Awami League President Sheikh Hasina for Gopalganj-3 seat.
After that, Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader collected the nomination form.
Awami League nomination papers can be collected and submitted every day from 10am to 4pm till Tuesday.
