Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh urged the opposition political parties to come to the polls, saying that there would be no political solution through arson and aggression.
He said: "We are very upset that there is more aggression on public transport. We request the political parties to withdraw this aggression, this injustice, and the politics of burning innocent people with fire, and to participate in the upcoming elections.”
He said: “A political solution is possible only through elections.it is never possible to come to a political solution through arson and vandalism. It will not be possible this time as well.”
Mayor Taposh was speaking at an view-exchange program with the media after the inauguration of the “Raisa Nagar Gymnasium” built inside the Shaheed Matiyur Park in Gulistan on Wednesday.
The DSCC mayor said: “The gymnasiums will be established in all 75 wards of Dhaka South City Corporation and the gymnasiums will be managed on the basis of joint capital partnership.”
