Referring to the last words of hacked Jubo League leader Zahidul Islam, ICT Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister Sajeeb Wazed Joy took a jibe at the supporters of “BNP-Jamaat”, who were apparently named as the killers by the dying Awami League activist.
Sajeeb Wazed retweeted a post alongside a video posted from the Bangladesh Awami League’s verified page that also protested the killing and vowed to stand for the bereaved family.
Several media reports quoted Zahidul Islam, 38, the president of the Sonora union Awami Jubo League, as saying: “They cut my tendons, hacked me indiscriminately, and left me to die only for my allegiance to the Awami League.”
“This is how BNP-Jamaat goons are terrorizing the Awami League supporters and the general people,” added Sajeeb Wazed.
