BNP Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas has not returned home since Saturday, according to his wife and Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal President Afroza Abbas.
Addressing reporters at her Dhaka Shahjahanpur residence around 2:30pm on Sunday, Afroza Abbas expressed her fears over the situation.
She explained: “They (unidentified people) had come once at midnight, and now they came again. I am afraid because my house has been attacked before. The attackers wore white clothes and jackets.”
She added: “No one could identify who they were, whether they were from the administration or not. Jubo League attacked the house once wearing similar clothes. I am fearful of a similar incident. Hence, I am reaching out to the media.”
Afroza Abbas revealed that Mirza Abbas left home in the morning on Saturday before the BNP’s rally and has not returned since.
