Twelve platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed in the capital to maintain law and order and strengthen security as BNP observes dawn to dusk strike acros the country.
BGB members are patrolling different areas of the capital, especially in Kakrail, Paltan and Motijheel areas.

BGB Public Relations Officer Shariful Islam confirmed the matter.
Earlier, ten platoons of BGB were deployed in the capital to control the heated situation centred around BNP and Awami League rallies and 11 platoons were deployed at night to maintain law and order.
