The Detective Branch of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police has arrested BNP Joint Secretary General Khairul Kabir Khokon at his brother’s home in Dhaka’s Sipahibagh area.
Shamsuddin Didar, a member of the BNP chairperson’s press wing, said the police made the arrest at around 2am on Thursday, quoting the former lawmaker’s wife.
Later in the day, DB Motijheel Deputy Commissioner Rajib Al Masud confirmed the matter, telling the media Khokon might be shown arrested in a case filed at Paltan police station.
