Awami League's programs spanning 7 days begin Saturday

The ruling Awami League is set to hold programs over seven days starting Saturday. 

Dhaka Metropolitan North and South Awami League will hold a rally at the south gate of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the afternoon.

The ruling party will hold a series of rallies, discussions and prayer ceremonies till October 4.

The programs, organized by Awami League and its associate bodies, will be held both inside and outside Dhaka.

The events were announced following the BNP's announcement of programs spanning 15 days till October 5.

Several programs of the ruling Awami League will be held on the same day as the programs of the BNP.

Leaders of the Awami League said the party will remain on the streets until the next parliamentary election.

On September 25, Dhaka South Awami League will organize a rally in Jatrabari while another rally will be organized by the party’s Dhaka North unit in Uttara around 2:30pm.

Another rally will take place in Keraniganj on September 26.

Gazipur Awami League will hold a rally in Tongi on September 27. On the same day, the Dhaka North unit will hold a rally in Mirpur's Kafrul area.

A prayer ceremony will be organized on September 28 marking Eid-E-Miladunnabi at the party's central office on the capital's Bangabandhu Avenue.

A discussion meeting will be held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) on September 29 marking the birthday of Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

On September 30, a farmers' rally will be held at the initiative of Krishak League. 

After that, a rally will be held at the initiative of the Awami League in Chittagong's Mirsarai on October 4.
