The opposition BNP to press home its one-point demand to topple the government started a rally in Keraniganj on Tuesday.
The rally took place in front of the party’s Keraniganj office at 3pm.
Hundreds of BNP leaders and activists have gathered around the venue and chanted slogans.
Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas is set to attend the rally as the chief guest and Dhaka South City BNP Convener Abdus Salam is scheduled to speak as the special guest.
As part of a simultaneous movement demanding the resignation of the Awami League government and elections under a neutral caretaker government, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has declared a 15-day program from Tuesday till October 3.
The party’s Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan announced the program schedule on Monday afternoon at the BNP chairperson's office in Gulshan.
