The ruling Awami League Presidium Member Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury Thursday called upon the party-men across the country to take rigid stand to resist the conspiracy of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing, Chhatra Shibir.
She said: “Jamaat is now hatching a conspiracy. We all have to resist them, and so we all, especially the freedom fighters have to be united,” adding that the anti-liberation forces are only escalating because of differences between the pro-liberation forces.
Sajeda, also the deputy leader of the parliament, made the statement while addressing a speech to the Bangabandhu Ainjibi Parishad, at the auditorium of the Supreme Court Bar Association.
She further said: “We have to resist those who are conspiring and dreaming to make the country like Pakistan.” She also asked the leaders of the organisation to resolve the differences that exist among the leaders.
