BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Tuesday said that there will be no election this time following the prescription of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

He said: "No matter what Obaidul Quader says, they cannot come to power this time by using armed force illegally.”

The BNP leader said: “It is recognized by the people of the country and the world that the unlawful government has illegally occupied the entire country. The people are fully prepared to end the rule of the country according to the prescription that Obaidul Quader ran the country through the law and order forces for the last 14 years.”

Rizvi said these things in a press conference at the party's central office in Naya Paltan on Tuesday afternoon.

He said: "The country is not the property of the Awami leaders' descendents. They have given away decency and politeness with offensive language.

“You (Awami League) will do and say whatever you want - that day is coming to an end. The election will be held under a neutral caretaker government by ending the attempt to make the people of the country at the mercy of the Awami ruling group,” he continued.
