BNP chairperson and leader of the opposition Khaleda Zia on Tuesday said, peace will not be restored in the country until the Awami League-led grand alliance government quits office.
“The country is going through a critical time and to come out of it, the country should be freed from the clutches of this corrupt and tyrannical government. Pray to the almighty, so the government resigns,” she said before an iftar party organised by its ally Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) at an auditorium in the capital.
She said the people of the country will get rid of repression and suppression only after the resignation of the government.
