Five people were injured as activists of two councillor candidates of Gazipur City Corporation (GCC) election locked in a clash over distribution of money among voters in Bymile area of sadar upazila on Friday night.

Activists of Abbas Uddin Khokan, a councillor candidate of ward no 12 of GCC, alleged that some men of Shafi Uddin, another councillor contender of the ward, were distributing money among voters in the area about 10pm to convince them to cast vote for their candidate, reports UNB.
