Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said his party men will not initiate any attacks on anybody, but will not be afraid to retaliate either if attacked first.
Quader, who is also minister of road transport and bridges, was speaking to journalists upon reaching Feni on Saturday afternoon.
Regarding the anti-government movement led by the BNP, the minister said: “There were 23 parties [involved] last time, and now there are 33. They want to oust Sheikh Hasina from power.”
“Awami League leaders and activists will be on the alert at different location across the country to counter this BNP conspiracy, chaos and propaganda.”
