Do not waste your lives listening to the commands of fugitive criminal Tarique Zia's commands, Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif told BNP men.
"Ziaur Rahman illegally formed the party while sitting in the cantonment. Your party is illegal and your leaders lie,” he said at an event held in Savar on Saturday.
While talking about BNP Vice Chairman Tarique Rahman, he noted that the BNP activists should not waste their lives for a fugitive criminal. “The country's people have seen many demonstrations, so go home and take rest.”
"BNP said that Khaleda Zia will appear in the mass rally on December 10. How will a convicted criminal go to a public gathering? She has been sitting at home by the grace of Sheikh Hasina, even though she was supposed to be in jail.” he added.
BNP's intention was to terrorize the people and create anarchy by bringing leaders and activists from different areas of the country to Dhaka with this false assurance of Khaleda Zia's presence on Saturday, Hanif claimed.
The BNP is holding it last rally, where it will announce its demands for launching a simultaneous movement.
The rally in the city began on Saturday morning, with the presence of thousands of leaders and activists of the party and its associate bodies.
The rally began around 11am at the city's Golapbagh Ground.
