The BNP has announced that it will hold an emergency press conference on Sunday.
It will start at 2pm at the central office of the BNP at Naya Paltan in Dhaka, media reports quoted Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the party chairperson's media wing, as saying.
Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will address journalists and talk about the recent arrests of some leaders and activists of the BNP and its affiliates, the setting up of a police checkpoint in front of Begum Khaleda Zia's Gulshan residence and the December 10 mass rally, according to party sources.
