Preparations are underway for BNP's mass rally in Comilla on Saturday.
Hundreds of leaders and activists of BNP have already reached Comila, and expelled leader Monirul Haque Sakku prepared accommodation and food for the partymen.
Apart from him, the district and metropolitan unit BNP is also preparing accommodations for the leaders.
Sakku has offered the BNP men to stay at 78 of his apartments, while also offering to slaughter 10 cows for the food of at least 25,000 leaders and activists he is expecting.
In this regard, the expelled leader said he took the initiative himself.
On the other hand, at least 10 cows will also be slaughtered by BNP district and metropolitan committees.
According to party sources, BNP has already been preparing the stage for Saturday, and hundreds of chairs have been brought to the venue for leading BNP men.
Utbatul Bari Abu, the convener of the metropolitan unit BNP, said that they have arranged several cows for the BNP men who are here to attend the rally on Saturday.
He added that this will be the best rally in the history of Comilla.
“Maximum preparations have been taken for the rally. The party will make every effort to ensure that no leader or worker suffers during this time,” he added.
The rally in Comilla will be the eighth one by the BNP, after arranging mass gatherings in Chittagong, Mymensingh, Khulna, Rangpur, Barisal, Faridpur and Sylhet.
Party leaders hope to conclude the divisional rallies through a mass gathering in Dhaka city on December 10.
The Comilla district administration has allowed the BNP to hold a mass rally on the Comilla Town Hall ground on Saturday but has imposed 10 conditions.
Comilla South BNP Member Secretary Jasim Uddin and BNP Relief and Rehabilitation Secretary Haji Aminur Rashid Yasin confirmed the matter on Wednesday morning.
The permit, signed by Senior Assistant Commissioner Rajib Chowdhury, was issued on behalf of the Comilla district magistrate on Tuesday.
