As many as 200 BNP leaders and activists have been sued for vandalizing Awami League office in the Khulna BNP divisional mass assembly.
Khulna Sadar Ward No 6 Awami League Religious Affairs Secretary Kazi Mobakkher filed the case on Sunday.
A total of 59 activists have been named in the case, including former Daulatpur Thana BNP general secretary Sirajul Haque Nannu, former organizing secretary Murshid Kamal, senior vice-president of Mahanagar Jubodal Kazi Nehimul Islam, 5th Ward BNP convener Imam Hossain, and Arangghata Union BNP convener Matlebur Rahman Mitul.
The plaintiff said that on Saturday at 1pm, the defendants assembled in front of the Ward No 6 Awami League office and vandalized it.
Daulatpur police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kamal Hossain said the case was accepted in light of the plaintiff's application. The inquiry and the accused people's arrest are still pending.
A case was previously filed against 170 BNP members for the attack and vandalism at the Khulna railway station.
