Narayanganj-4 Constituency MP AKM Shamim Osman said that Narayanganj residents are ready to hit the streets to foil any anti-government propaganda.
He made the remark at the tri-annual conference of Narayanganj District Awami League on Sunday.
He said: “Narayanganj was the base of Awami League. We have to prove that Narayanganj was, is, and will be the base of Awami League.”
Sheikh Hasina is not only the asset of Awami League, she is now the future of Bangladesh, he continued.
Shamim Osman said: “What else can I want when Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina remembered my family by naming and inaugurating the bridge after my elder brother AKM Nasim Osman?”
Meanwhile, Narayanganj City Corporation Mayor Dr Selina Hayat Ivy said: "There is no alternative to carry out our duties togaher. We want the same in Narayanganj. Stop the politics of murders and disappearances. We want to do politics for common people."
She further said, “All the developments under Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina- from Padma Bridge to Bangabandhu Tunnel, Ruppur Nuclear Power Plant, and Freedom Fighters Allowance should be highlighted.”
