Sources said the supporters of BCL Tejgaon College unit president and secretary locked into a clash with each other at about 1pm over previous enmity.

Both the groups, equipped with sharp weapons, attacked each other during the clash, said college source.

Meanwhile, they have vandalised some classrooms of the college building.

Confirming the matter, Tejgaon division deputy commissioner of police Biplob Sarkar said: “On information, police rushed in and brought the situation under control at about 2pm. Later, police nabbed some seven to eight BCL men from the spot.”
