Opposition-backed Ahsan Habib Kamal has become the mayor-elect of Barisal City Corporation.

According to latest results from returning officer’s office, Kamal bagged 82,751 votes while rulling alliance-backed Showkat Hossain Hiron secured 66,741 votes.
