District BNP will enforce a dawn-to-dusk hartal in Chittagong on Wednesday protesting the arrest warrant against party vice-chairman Tarique Rahman in a money-laundering case, reports UNB.
City BNP general secretary Dr Sahadat Hossain announced the shutdown progamme from a rally of district Chhatra Dal at Kazir Deuri in the port city Monday.
Issuing a warrant for the arrest of Tarique Rahman in a money-laundering case, a Dhaka court on Sunday asked the government to take necessary steps to bring him back with the help of Interpol.
