Awami League tells BCL, other associate bodies to hold central council soon

The date will be fixed after getting Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s schedule

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has instructed Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) , Jubo Mohila League and Mohila Awami League to take preparation for holding central council soon to form new committees.

The decision was taken in a meeting with Awami Leagues associate bodies at central party office on Tuesday.

Speaking to the media, Quader said: “We have instructed them to hold their central council. They will get Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s schedule and fix their council date soon.”

On Saturday, Awami League Central Working Committee decided to hold 22nd National Council of the party in December this year.

Now, the party instructed its associated bodies and wings like Bangladesh Chhatra League, Jubo Mohila League’s to hold their central councils.

The ruling party is gearing up for the upcoming national election in 2023 as it aims to win the 12th parliamentary elections to seal a fourth consecutive victory.

Party President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has instructed the top leaders to prepare for the elections, to be held at the end of next year, as she hopes it will be participatory.
