Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is set to sit with the top leaders of the ruling party-led 14-party alliance on Tuesday morning after three years.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at premier’s official residence Ganabhaban at 11:30 am, said Awami League Deputy Office Secretary Sayem Khan.
However, due to the Covid-19 protocols, all leaders from the 14-Party Alliance were not invited to the meeting, only two leaders from each party got the invitation.
During the peak of Covid-19 in 2020, Md Nasim, the coordinator of 14-Party Alliance expired and senior Awami League leader Amir Hossain Amu was made the new coordinator and spokesperson.
The meeting is significant as the next national election is just around the corner, said sources.
