Main opposition BNP chief Khaleda Zia will sit with the members of the party standing committee tonight.
The meeting is scheduled for 8:30pm at her Gulshan office.
Following this meeting, she is also programmed to sit with the top leaders of the 18-party alliance at the same venue.
Shairul Kabir Khan, from the BNP chairperson’s press wing, told the Dhaka Tribune that the leaders are likely to evaluate the current political situation and devise the next course of action.
The opposition alliance has scheduled rallies around the country today protesting the arrest of leaders and activists, demanding restoration of the caretaker government system and resignation of the government.
