BNP: This budget is a scam

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said the new budget is a scam to steal from the people. Rizvi made the comment regarding the lofty Tk4,00,266cr annual budget for the 2017-2018 fiscal year that was passed on Thursday. The BNP leader remarked that the prime minister has made contradictory statements: “Although in the budget statement the prime minister had said the government has prepared a budget that is independent and does not rely on others, the budget reads that the government is to seek foreign assistance for nearly Tk5504cr. “Ruling party has been using the national budget as a political tool  to create scopes for ruling Awami League leaders and activists to steal public money. That is why they have come up with such highly ambitious and impractical budgets over the past years.”
