Quader: BNP's vision 2030 is farce and deception

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Wednesday described the "Vision 2030" declared by BNP as nothing but a farce and deception for the people. He termed vision 2030 as an "inflated balloon" which will shrink in the days to come. Quader made the statement at a press conference at the party president's political office in Dhanmondi, just after BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia's declaration of Vision 2030. The Awami League general secretary also termed vision 2030 as meritless and hollow. "Actually, the vision of BNP is to establish ‘Hawa Bhaban’ as an alternative 'power house' for corruption and the embezzlement of orphanage money," he said. Quader said the history of BNP is the history of negative politics, as the opposition party initiated killings through politics, coups and conspiracies in the country. BNP, he said, has lost its strength to wage a movement. The minister said there is no newness in "Vision 2030" of BNP, as most of the work plans are reflected in the Vision 2021 that was declared by Awami League long ago.
