Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Joint Secretary General Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal has said BNP activists will hold a rally at any cost, despite being prohibited from holding talks and rallies.
He made the remark at a mass rally organized by the party in Naogaon on Sunday.
He said: "Police did not allow BNP to hold a meeting on Saturday (October 12).
"They obstructed our motorcades and did not let us use microphones or build a stage during the rally. But, BNP will hold rallies at any cost."
BNP has arranged a mass rally in all district sadars of all divisions across Bangladesh on Sunday and Monday, in protest of Buet student Abrar Fahad's murder, and for the cancellation of recent agreements they have deemed as anti-state.
Many central and senior leaders of the party went to various districts to join the rally as guests.
