Central Chhatra League acting president Al-Nahean Khan Joy has said they will take the highest measures if the party activists are found guilty of being involved with the murder of Abrar Fahad.
He made the statement to Dhaka Tribune over phone around 2pm on Monday.
He said: “We will take the highest organizational action if any Chhatra League man is found guilty after the investigation of Abrar's murder.
“We will give our full cooperation to the law enforcement officials to help them expose the truth, despite the fact whether the ruling party’s student wing members are involved or not.”
Meanwhile, Central Chhatra League formed a two-member probe body, which includes Eiaz Al Riyad, central joint secretary, and Asif Talukder, central cultural affairs secretary, the acting president added.
Abrar Fahad, a second year student of electrical and electronic engineering department of the university, was allegedly beaten to death on Monday by some Chhatra League leaders for his alleged involvement with Islami Chhatra Shibir - the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami.
