A circular of the LGRD Ministry issued on March 30 says that charge sheet in the case – filed in 2008 – was accepted by a court on August 22, 2016. The order reached Saltha recently.
When contacted on Wednesday, Wahiduzzaman said he would challenge the decision as “the information of acceptance of the charges is not true.”
The case was filed against him on March 22, 2008, a day after Bhawal Jubo League general secretary Liton Alam was hacked to death.
