Leaders and activists of a faction of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal have demonstrated, demanding that Khaleda Zia be released from jail.
They demonstrated in front of BNP's Naya Paltan headquarters, in Dhaka, around 11am on Friday.
Under the leadership of Kamruzzaman Jewel, chairman in the west of Dhaka city, and Sajjad Hossain Rubel, general secretary in Dhaka north, around 50 Chhatra Dal members took part in the protest.
The BNP chairperson has been serving jail terms since a special court convicted her in two graft cases on February 8, 2018.
