Canadian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Benoît-Pierre Laramée met with BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Tuesday, and discussed political and other bilateral issues.
The meeting began around 4:15pm at the BNP chairperson’s Gulshan office, lasting for nearly two hours.
The current political situation and mutual cooperation between two countries were discussed at the meeting, Shairul Kabir Khan, a press wing staff of BNP chairperson told the Dhaka Tribune.
Earlier, US Ambassador to Bangladesh Marcia Stephens Bloom Bernicat called on Khaleda on February 22.
