The ruling Awami League led 14-party alliance leaders have vowed to protect Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and criticize government for its misdeeds.
“The 14-party alliance will protect the alliance chief and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and will also criticize the government’s misdeeds, and will work against the BNP-Jamaat alliance,” said 14-party spokesperson Mohammad Nasim.
Nasim came up with the statements at a press briefing after a 14-party alliance meeting at Awami League’s headquarters at Gulistan on Wednesday.
Mohammad Nasim,Awami League presidium member said that the 14-party alliance was formed based on an ideology and government posts are not important.
“Leaders and activists of the 14-party will work to build a poverty and discrimination free country following the leadership of Sheikh Hasina. The 14-party alliance was with Sheikh Hasina in bad times and will be in the future,” he said.
He claimed that there are no conflicts among alliance partners.
Nasim, former minister for Health and Family Welfare said that the 14-parties will be always ready to tackle the BNP and Jamaat alliance if they try to create anarchy in the country.
He also requested the BNP and Jatiya Oikya Front’s elected members to join the parliament.
Nasim said that they are still working to fulfill the targets which they had taken during the 14-party formation.
He said: “The BNP and Jatiya Oikya Front leaders are plotting a new conspiracy in the name of re-elections.”
