The leaders of Bangladesh Khelafat Andolan have called upon the Islamic parties to form an alliance to ensure good governance and a corruption free nation through the ensuing general election.
The party leaders said they need alliance to compel the incumbent government to hold the election under a neutral administration.
They said the proposal for participation in alliance is open to all.
They came up with the proposal at a conference organised by the Bangladesh Khelafat Andolan at the National Press Club auditorium on Friday.
Khelafat Movement Dhaka City Amir Moulana Mujibur Rahman Hamidi presided over the conference and Maulana Ataullah Ibn Hafezi, Amir of Bangladesh Khelafat Movement was present as chief guest.
Maulana Ataullah Ibn Hafezi said being separated into different partiesIslamic parties have become powerless.
‘Our future will be bleakif we remain separated’ he added.
Regardless of the government changes in the country, the system of governance has not changed, said Amir Moulana Mujibur Rahman Hamidi.
‘There are people but they have no right to vote and they are afraid to exercise their rights’ he added.
“To form an Islamic state the only way is to unite and get the people out of this anarchic situation.”
Kazi Jalaluddin Bokul, assistant general secretary of the Bangladesh Khelafat Andolan, joint general secretary of the Khelafat Majlish Golam Azgor, Nayeb Amir Anisur Rahman Zinnah also spoke at the meeting.
