Quader: AL to sit with allies on Sunday

Awami League President and Prime Minister will sit for a dialogue with leaders of the 14-party alliance at around 8pm on November 4

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Thursday said leaders of the 14-party alliance will sit for a dialogue with Awami League on Sunday, November 4.

“Awami League President and Prime Minister will sit for a dialogue with leaders of the 14-party alliance at around 8pm on November 4. Meanwhile, Awami League will sit with Jatiya Party on November 5,” Quader said.

The Awami League general secretary made the announcements during a press conference at the Awami League president’s political office in Dhanmondi in the afternoon. The press conference was held after a meeting between leaders of Awami League’s affiliated organizations.

Quader said Awami League will also sit for a dialogue with leftist parties, but the date was yet to be set. There will be no dialogues on Saturday, November 3.

The AL general secretary also said Awami League and the people would stand against anyone who tried to use conspiracies on the constitution against the state. 

“The people and law enforcement agencies will respond against violence,” he added.

Awami League Joint General Secretaries Mahabubul Alam Hanif, Jahangir Kabir Nanok, and Abdur Rahman were among those present at the meeting.
