Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said if BNP refuse to participate in the upcoming general election and resort to militancy as they did in 2014, they will be dealt with harshly by the government and the people.
The minister made the statement while speaking to journalists after completing his Eid prayer in his electoral constituency of Kabirhat upazila in Noakhali.
He also said people going home for the Eid holidays have had better journeys this year due to improved infrastructure, and their return journeys will be good too.
A number of important local party officials accompanied Obaidul for the prayer.
