BNP Standing Committee Member, Nazrul Islam Khan, demanded their party chief, Khaleda Zia, be admitted to United Hospital in Dhaka.
He made the statement while talking to reporters after a meeting with Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Sunday morning.
He said: “The BNP chief is very sick. She is not being treated properly. We are concerned.”
“We have urged the home minister to take proper steps regarding her [Khaleda Zia’s] treatment and have asked him to admit her to United Hospital.”
Regarding the matter, Minister Kamal said: “They [BNP delegation] had come. We will take steps regarding Khaleda’s treatment according to jail codes.”
“We will talk to specialized doctors and do whatever is needed.”
