BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said the Awami League-led grand alliance is the country's biggest evil power.
He made the above remark at a press conference held at BNP's central office at Nayapaltan on Sunday.
Rizvi said: "Now people think that the country's biggest evil power is the Awami League-led grand alliance. A voter-free democratic power is the biggest evil force.
“People are counting days for the fall of this evil power. Can an internationally recognized autocratic power be good?”
The BNP leader also alleged that the government has sent Khaleda Zia behind bars to continue their illegal power.
He said: "Now they are slowly trying to kill her [Khaleda] in prison. Even though she is suffering from serious illness, she has not been provided proper treatment. After conducting an X-ray test, the government’s medical board recommended her [Khaleda] to take physiotherapy and a blood test.
“Khaleda Zia’s X-ray report suggests she has some problems in her neck and waist. In the age of modern medical treatment, it is not possible to diagnose specific and correct diseases only through X-ray and blood tests without doing MRI or advanced tests.”
Rizvi demanded immediate release of Khaleda Zia and her proper treatment as per her wishes. This article was first published on banglatribune.com
