Quader suspects BNP of lying about Khaleda’s health

Awami League General Secretary and minister of road transport and bridges Obaidul Quader has said that BNP leaders are lying about Khaleda Zia’s health condition, on Saturday. He was speaking to journalists after visiting the worksite of the highway at Ashulia Zirabo bus-stand area in Savar. “Dhaka District Civil Surgeon has already met the BNP Chairperson and a medical board will be formed to give a proper report on whether it is possible to treat Khaleda Zia at home or should she be taken abroad,” Obaidul Quader added. Earlier, Obaidul said that “If BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is indeed ill, she will be ensured proper treatment and will be sent abroad, if necessary.” Obaidul made the statement on Friday after a meeting at the Awami League President’s political office in Dhanmondi.
