Central BNP leader Anisur goes missing

BNP's Mass Education Affairs Assistant Secretary Anisur Rahman Talukder Khokon has been picked up by members of Rapid Action Battalion on Monday night, alleged the party and his wife. While talking to reporters on Tuesday, Khokon's wife Israt Ajmery claimed that members of RAB-3 picked Khokon up from near Ramna Hotel around 10:15pm on Monday. It was not the first time Khokon was picked up by law enforcement. He remained missing for three months in 2015. She also claimed that officials of the elite force unit in its Tikatuli office denied arresting her husband, During an emergency press conference at BNP chairperson's Gulshan office on Monday midnight, party’s Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said: "We are yet to track him down." Citing Ramna Hotel and staff and pedestrians accounts of how Anisur was picked up, the senior BNP leader strongly condemned the incident and demanded Anisur’s return immediately. The BNP leader further alleged that Khokon had been made disappeared by law enforcers in 2015. He was later found in Faridpur after three months.
