‘Registration to be scrapped if BNP avoids next national poll’

Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan on Friday made the threat to presently out-of-parliament BNP while addressing a guardians’ day meeting of UI Government High School in Madaripur. He said the false propaganda BNP is making against the newly-formed search committee on Election Commission will affect the party itself. So, they should agree to the EC formed by the president. The minister said, “The search committee has fulfilled people’s expectation, but it failed to meet BNP’s prospect. That’s why the party is frustrated and angry. People want an acceptable EC. The president will form the EC from the list of names this search committee would supply.”
