Islami Andolon Bangladesh has announced to march towards Myanmar if their military forces do not stop atrocities over the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar’s Rakhine State.
The Islamist political organisation has also declared to march towards the Myanmar Embassy in Dhaka form the north gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque and with an intent to surround it on September 13.The first declaration came at a post in the party’s official Facebook page while the second one, along with two other action plans, was declared by party’s Nayeb-e-Amir Mufti Faizul Karim at a huge protest rally held in front of the Baitul Mukarram mosque after the Jumma prayers on Friday.
The senior party leader also announced that his party men would observe countrywide protest programme on September 11 and disburse relief materials among the Rohingya refugees on September 12 at the programme.
The protest rally, which was held demanding an end to the persecution on the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar, ended with a procession from the national mosque’s north gate to Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation’s building via Naya Paltan.Party Presidium Member Mosaddek Ali Madani, Secretary General Mawlana Yunus Ahmad and Adviser Asharaf Ali Akhand spoke among others during the programme.banglatribune.com also contributed to this story
